Cranshaw Construction is redeveloping Beacon Communities /Boston Housing Authority property in South Boston. In the third phase, four Boston Housing Authority residential buildings are being demolished and replaced with two, 4-story wood frame residential buildings totaling 135 affordable rental units. The new residential buildings will have townhouse-style direct entry apartments on the first floor.
The foundations are supported on geo concrete column ground improvements, the superstructure is structural wood frame, and the exterior finishes are fiber cement siding and panels.
