computer classroom

We conduct technology and employment training for residents of Albany Housing Authority, Section 8 recipients, and Albany neighborhood residents. This program is a full-time eight week class with approximately 200 classroom hours. The core of the program focuses on employment and technology. The employment aspect encompasses:

Mock Interviewing
Resume/cover letter writing
Workplace conflict
Conflict Resolution
Job Searching
Employment Law
Employer expectations
Goal Setting
Team Building

The computer portion of the class is a way for students to enhance their technology skill set. This part of the class also builds confidence within the student in the different applications that are done in class.

Graduates search for positions in a variety of fields including customer service, clerical, and health fields. Others pursue careers in human services, professional driving or any other field of their choice. Our mission is to provide training that will enhance employ ability in a variety of fields.
